Friday:
Dinner with Psychic Medium Josh Simonds
Since 2017, psychic medium and author Josh Simonds has been bringing connection, compassion, and clarity to individuals and audiences alike. With deep respect for Spirit and an authentic, grounded approach full of love, Josh channels our Beloved Dead, Ancestors, and Helping Spirits to deliver messages that offer insight, comfort, and direction.
Josh is the author of The Beginner’s Guide to Runes and The Secret to Life Ain’t So Secret, works that reflect his commitment to accessible spiritual wisdom and practical mysticism. In addition to his writing and reading practice, he is the host of the Die Laugh Love Podcast, where he blends online spirit galleries with humor, heart, and honest conversations about life, love, loss, and the magic that threads through it all.
Based out of Littleton, New Hampshire, Josh works both in person and online. You can learn more about his work at joshsimonds.com.
New this year to the Magickal Marketplace is a dinner with psychic medium Josh Simonds! Enjoy a catered dinner with Josh, and then stay for a John Edwards style group reading by Josh!
Spirit Gallery Readings
For about two hours during his Spirit Gallery Readings, Josh connects with Spirit and moves around the room sharing messages from loved ones, Ancestors, and helping spirits. Some moments are tender, some are surprising, and many are funny, as Spirit has a great sense of humor and Josh always lets that come through.
Not everyone will receive a direct message in a group setting, but everyone walks away with something, because when one person receives a message, the whole room does as well.
Josh’s style is relaxed, conversational, and real. No spooky theatrics, and no fortune-telling tactics. Just a normal guy talking with Spirit and sharing what comes through with honesty and heart, Josh’s events are about connection, community, and remembering that love doesn’t end.
This dinner is a special event, and there are only 60 seats available. It requires a special VIP ticket, which can be purchased online as part of the Friday After Dark ticket, or part of the Full Weekend Pass. These tickets can only be purchased online before the event, with the deadline one week before the event.

Freestyle Drum Circle lead by Dave Curry
Anyone attending the convention is invited to participate in the freestyle drum & dance circle which will be facilitated by Dave “Drumhead” Curry from Drums For One & All. All skill levels are welcome. He will start things off with some basic instruction on how to play some of the common drum types, as well as teaching you some of the most recognizable drum rhythms that are popular in drum circles. There will also be an opportunity for people to “freestyle” or spontaneously improvise rhythms on the spot. If you have your own drum or percussion gadgets, bring them along. There will be loaner drums available for borrowing on a first come, first serve basis. Dancers are also welcome in the circle, and poi spinners or hoopers are welcome outside the circle so as not to bonk anyone on the head.
Dave Curry is the creator of Drums For One & All, the umbrella under which he offers event facilitation, workshop instruction, private lessons, live performances, and drum repairs. Since 2001, Dave has led the popular FreeDrum event every month, as well as the SpiritDrum event since 2006. Dave is the co-creator and organizer for the Eastern Mass Rhythm Festival, which is entering its 20th season. For 14 years, Dave taught hand drumming through the Assabet school in Marlborough MA, and now he currently teaches through the Groton Hill Music Center in Groton MA. He is the author of two books on hand drumming and percussion. Dave is the creative director of the Drum Nomads performance ensemble. Over the past 26 years, Dave has led nearly 2000 drumming events at schools, churches, colleges, libraries, retreat centers and other institutions across New England.

Candlelight Labyrinth Walk
with Tracy Andryc
Walk the labyrinth in this After Dark workshop and experience the meditative magic of the labyrinth. Beautifully setup in the Federal room, candles and music bring the experience to life. You can walk the Labyrinth anytime during the time it is open. Allow yourself 10-20 minutes to do so.
Labyrinth walking is an ancient practice used by many different faiths for spiritual centering, contemplation, and prayer. Entering the serpentine path of a labyrinth, you walk slowly while quieting your mind and focusing on a spiritual question or prayer. Walking a labyrinth is a form of active meditation which is unique from meditation while standing still, sitting, or lying down. Active meditation provides many benefits, and labyrinth walking is a unique spiritual experience. Learn more about labyrinth walking meditation and its potential benefits.
Tracy Andryc has been sharing her love of the labyrinth since her first walk on its path in 1998. She sees the labyrinth as a universal tool that can be used in a magical/spiritual context, regardless of your religious path. Tracy received her training from The Labyrinth Guild of New England and the Reverend Dr. Lauren Artress, author and founder of Veriditas. She takes a holistic approach to her labyrinth work by incorporating other modalities such as Reiki, crystal grids/healing, breath work, sound and sacred dance. For over two decades, she has facilitated workshops and rituals on the labyrinth and other topics at venues along the east coast of the US.

Just The Facts, Ma’at: Ancient Egyptian Magic, Plain and Simple
With Sophia Kelly Shultz
Just as the wonders of ancient Egyptian culture need no embellishment, the complex and fascinating magical practices of the ancient Egyptians do not need the imaginative embellishments envisioned by modern authors and practitioners. This workshop explores the core concepts surrounding ancient Egyptian magic, providing information about core beliefs and practices that spanned the 30 centuries of ancient Egyptian civilization.
Born and raised in Pennsylvania, artist and author Sophia Kelly Shultz has led what can only be described as a colorful life. Educated in the hallowed halls of the University of Pennsylvania, she studied Egyptology with a particular focus on the language, and spent many happy hours in the storage areas seldom seen by outsiders. A lifetime later, her love affair with all things ancient Egyptian has not waned, and she loves opportunities to do research on different aspects of the discipline. Sophia has followed a non-traditional shamanic path which connects particularly with rocks and running water. Her practice also includes counseling others and teaching that “creativity” does not mean “creating things that other people will like.” Sophia lives in the hard coal region of Pennsylvania with her husband, and a super-enthusiastic Springer Spaniel.
When the Dark Comes a’Rising: Managing Negative Entities
with CoyoteSkyWoman
“Something’s under the bed/Now it’s out in the hedge/There’s a big black crow sitting on my window ledge/And I hear something scratching through the wall…I hate to be all alone/outside the door, it followed me home…” – “Goodnight Moon” by Shivaree.
In the world of paganism and magic, there is a great belief in the spirit world. Many of the connections that we make with spirits are positive and good…but what do we do when they’re not? How do we handle those that don’t have our best interests at heart? Are all of these spirits malicious or are some just crying for attention? Please join me in a discussion about negative entities and some of the ways that we as magical practitioners can deal with them.
CoyoteSkyWoman has been a member of the local pagan community for over 30 years. A practicing shaman, her experience has included a diverse background, including Land work, energy rebalancing, cleansings, channeling, and spirit work. She is the author of three fantasy novels and spends her days tormenting students with the English language.
